What angles (degree) can I grind at?
Each unit (AL00 & DL03) grinds at a preset degree: 10, 15, 20. If you want a different angle you will need to purchase a different unit. The 20° is the most common.
What size Tungsten does the TungstenMate support?
- 0.040″ (if purchasing the DL03 you will need to substitute one of the guide-ways, or purchase separately. AL00 comes with 0.040″.)
- 1/6″
- 3/32″
- 1/8″
Will the Simplicity Steel Guide-Ways melt?
No, the guide ways are machined out of hardened steel.
Will the 6061 Aluminum Industrious Guide-Ways melt?
No, the guide-ways are machining into the aluminum.
What Rotary Tools fit?

SETUP
HELP! My diamond wheel wobbles, what’s wrong?
Make sure your mandrel is properly secured in your rotary tool, and the screw holding the diamond wheel is fully tightened.
My wheel is not high enough. HELP!
The height of the wheel is adjustable, you will need to play around to get the proper height.
My Tungsten gets sucked into the TungstenMate.
The wheel needs to be spinning counter clockwise. If your rotary tool has a switch for direction, make sure it’s set to the correct direction.

Is Tungsten dust dangerous?
Always wear the proper PPE! Not only when grinding Tungsten, but when welding!
